The Australian Constitution : Can We Rely On the Government to Uphold It?

I wish to indulge your interest in the people’s right to be able to “humbly rely on the blessing of Almighty God” as afforded to us all at Federation by the Constitution of the Federated States of Australia.  In support of this comment I refer you to the preamble of our Constitution - which reads:

The preamble
Whereas the people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and
Tasmania, humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God, have agreed to unite in
one indissoluble Federal Commonwealth etc.

I would be pleased if your interest was sparked sufficiently to read an article in our library entitled “The Tipping Point – Australia in the Balance” that explores the right of the people to rely on God in the well running and performance of the Federation.  That right, I am suggesting, was given expressly in the framework of the Constitution by our forefathers   to bond the Government to stay within a frame work that was consistent with the abiding will of God.

Therefore the focus of the article discusses the question if the Government of this day has the power to change the Constitution when the changes are clearly not within the abiding will of God and hence disconnect the people of the States within the Federation who are relying on Almighty God for his blessing of the nation.

You will of course have twigged that the catalyst for this article is the proposed changes to the Marriage Act to legitimise all gender relationships under the same legal umbrella as heterosexual couples who worship and serve God in their day-to-day lives.
